Science of Fire

The QUEST team would like you to know that QUEST’s TV story, Into the Inferno: The Science of Fire, is set to premiere on KQED next Tuesday, September 25th, as one of the segments in the episode. The story includes interviews with fire managers from the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, and CAL Fire.

On Tuesday, the story will be posted on the QUEST website in its entirety so you'll also be able to watch it there.

In dry years, fires in California cost billions of dollars and often result in lost lives. QUEST goes inside the fire season, looking at how the history of forest management could be feeding today's flames.
